Vale de Ferreiros – Turismo Equestre

Vale de Ferreiros is located in the traditional village of Pego on the south bank of the Tagus river, 7 kms from Abrantes, the nearest large town.
This Tourism includes the Green Windows House with 5 bedrooms, the Country Home with 2 bedrooms and 2 traditional  T1 village houses and an Equestrian Centre offering riding lessons, Jumping and Dressage lessons, as well as enchanting horse trails through green pastures along the river bank. Live a unique village experience with local traditions within a beautiful unspoilt natural environment, ideal for a family country holiday or short break. The Equestrian Centre is located along the Tagus river bank, overlooking Abrantes Castle and the green planes. The swimming pool, bikes and several walking and riding trails are always available.

The Equestrian Centre is about 10 minutes away from the Tourism, walking or riding through a pleasant sandy road, enjoying the landscape, centenary cork and pine trees. Vale de Ferreiros has become well known for international Equestrian Tourism activities. Clients come from all over the world to enjoy dressage and jumping lessons as well as more than 30 kms of riding trails along the river and in the surroundings of the Centre. Important to emphasize the excellent qualities of our Lusitano horses, providing a unique experience to everyone!
